Directions for Use

Surface Preparation: The floor area to be covered with LEVEL PRIMER J42 should be structurally sound and free of dust, dirt, grease and previously applied coatings. Cracks and major spalls should be repaired with a concrete patching material. Very porous floors may be dampened with water, without ponding or puddling prior to application of LEVEL PRIME J42.

Mixing: The concentrate should be thoroughly mixed prior to dilution. Then blend equal parts (1:1) Primer with water. stir gently until completely mixed. For nonporous floors, do not dilute, apply neat.

Placement: For best results, apply LEVEL PRIMER J42 to the floor area with a push broom in a scrubbing motion to assure penetration and formation of a complete, uniform film on the surface of the floor. Apply evenly and do not allow the material to puddle. Accumulation in low areas should be wiped up. Under normal conditions, it can be applied up to 24 hours prior to the installation of the floor leveler providing the floor is kept dry, clean of all foreign material and there is no traffic which might wear the LEVEL PRIMER off. For applications that exceed 24 hours, the primer must be reapplied. LEVEL PRIMER J42 must be allowed to fully dry (approximately 3 hours depending on ambient conditions) prior to installation of floor leveling material. It should create a continuous film upon the surface of the concrete. If not, reapply LEVEL PRIMER J42. Very porous surfaces may require two applications of LEVEL PRIMER J42.

Clean Up: For tools and equipment, use clean water.

Drying Time: 2-3 hours at 70°F. Can be longer in enclosed areas, cool temperatures or high humidity.
Estimating Guide: Coverage (after diluting with equal parts water): 200-400 sq. ft./gal. Substrate texture and porosity will influence the actual coverage rate.

Storage: Store in tightly sealed, original factory containers. Keep from freezing. Shelf life of properly stored, unopened container is 12 months.
