RUST TRANSFORMER is a water based, tannic acid-free rust converter which can convert rust on contact to an inert, black iron oxide barrier layer within minutes of application. Can be topcoated with both waterborne and solventborne coatings. Maintains good adhesion with topcoats.

Directions for Use
Shake or stir the product well before using. Some phase separation may occur during long term storage but product quality is not compromised. Thinning is not required. Product can be sprayed, rolled or brushed.
The product will convert any rust with which it can actually contact and react. Any surface that has been previously treated or coated may not appear to be converted. This is due to the inability of the product to actually come into contact with the active iron oxide, as opposed to “staining” of the surface layer. The rust starts to turn black within a few minutes of application. A second coat can be applied to ensure complete conversion of all rust.
